iTunes University
|
Using iTunes University, I created the art curriculum for middle and high school art students during my time teaching at String Theory School. The curriculum encouraged student engagement and gave flexibility for personalized instruction.

iPad Photography |
Students drew themselves as characters onto recycled transparencies using sharpies and white out. They then learned about photography and explored taking photos holding their character inside the frame. Numerous apps were selected for students to edit the photographs. For the final submission the students turned in three photos that showed their character doing an action or moving, as a triptych.

Tim Burton Inspired Stop Motion |
The students created their own characters in the style of Burton after learning about his artistic life. The students then worked in small groups or alone to create a storyline, sets, and produce a stop motion animation.

HP Reveal |
Using a virtual reality app to introduce a new lesson! I pre-set the classroom to have 3 images, and the students walked around interacting with the information they found while identifying answers to a questionnaire they were given. One image opened a short video, another was an article, and the final was a famous work of art.
